White Lake Lodge and RV Campground

For an Interstate campground, this is a very nice stop. There are ample fairly level spots with full hookups. There is also a significant space between you and your neighbors which makes relaxing for the night much easier. The grass was clearly well maintained. Showers and restroom facilities are a bit worn but nice and clean. Also, because the campground is in association with and next to a motel, there IS a shelter if needed. I was touched by the fact that the owners or the cleaners leave leftover shampoos grouped by the sink so if you forget, there is something to get by. Nice touch! All online registration, payment and checkout is very convenient. Depending on your window layout, your view is not restricted to the interstate, but looks off into trees and prairie. I would not have minded a longer stay to recharge.

Ok this was better than I thought. As a cna traveler of 7 years- motel pictures are not always true. Theirs are ! Huge rv camp ground. Tent areas. I do have a small kurig in the room. Fridge . Microwave. Huge towels. They have dispensary soap an shampoo in the shower. Big tvs. WIFI SUCKS. Wonderful pillows. Beautiful blankets. I'm not good with the mattress. So I will use my air mattress on top of it. No pool. Pet area for walks. Right off I-90. EASY TO GET INTO . WHITE LAKE IS A WONDERFUL LITTLE TOWN. 30 MINUTES FROM CHAMBERLAIN AND THE MISSOURI RIVER . 30 MINUTES FROM MITCHELL. LOTS OF THINGS TO GO SEE AND DO. DESMET UP THE ROAD. I HAVE NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR SOUTH DAKOTA. PIERRE TOO!! ASK ME ANYTHING.

We used one of the camping sites for the week. All campsite are nice grass areas.We had power at our campsite which was a great plus. The bathroom was warm, with warm water to wash and shower. A warm shower was always a welcome relief while camping.The only downside was no one came and clean the bathroom while we were there.

My only issue would be the climate control. The room was quite warm (75°) despite the thermostat being set to 69° and the A/C unit was extremely loud while I was trying to cool the room down enough to get to sleep. Otherwise check-in was contactless, easy and the room was clean. Don't think there was anyone in the rooms on either side of me but didnt hear a peep from the people 2 doors down and they had at least 1 child and a dog so I'd say the worst noise was from the interstate when the A/C wasnt running. I'd stay here again. Good place to stop for a night and then stop in at Jake's in the morning for literally the best muffins I've ever tasted.

We RV camped both on the way and returning on our vacation. Its proximity to I-90 was perfect for our needs. The power, water, and sewer hookups were well maintained and trash was easily accessible. The parking spaces were spacious and pretty level. The entire camping area was well trimmed. We were not able to get the WiFi to connect, so used our phones to hotspot. We were only there overnight each way on our trip so this didn’t bother us.

White Lake Lodge is a great place to stay while on the road. Location is right there at the interstate. Off/ on couldn’t be easier. Even though it’s so close, room wasn’t noisy over night. Room is very spacious, and was very clean and comfortable. So much better than trying to find a motel that wasn’t disgusting and worrying about the contents of my van all night. Parked right in front of the door. Highly recommended.

Met all of our requirements while in route. Super convenient to be right off the highway. Bathrooms with showers were clean. Sites had power and water. We registered ahead of time. Checkin/checkout was effortless.

This was a nice stop. We overnighted, the price was really good, 36.00 for one night. The only thing was we arrived after dark and, though there are lamp posts, they were not on so make sure you get there before dark. Bathroom clean with shower.
